Bucket teeth pins, retainers and rubber locks are essential components for keeping your excavator bucket teeth secure and in place while working. It is important to select the correct pin and retainer for your bucket teeth adaptor, as well as ensure that the ground engaging bucket teeth fit correctly with no load on the pin when digging. This will ensure that your excavator is able to perform its job efficiently and safely.
Maintenance Why Is it So important ?
- Firstly look at the bucket tooth fitment style
- Select the corresponding pin and retainer for your bucket teeth adaptor
- Confirm the replacement bucket teeth fit correctly, and there is no load on the pin when working. Do this by looking through the pinhole when the tooth is securely pushed on the adaptor.
- Fit or hammer the pin into place ensuring it does not protrude allowing the material flow to push out the pin
- When the pin is secure hold the end of the newly fitted wear part and shake it to confirm there is no excessive movement that could cause the tooth to break.
