The commonly used track plate is divided into three types according to the shape of grounding, including single bar, three bars and the bottom.Single reinforcement track plate is mainly used for bulldozers and tractors, because this kind of machinery requires the track plate to have a high traction capacity. However, it is rarely used in excavators, and only when the excavator is equipped with a drill rack or requires a large horizontal thrust, the crawler plate is used. The high traction force is required when the sub turns, so the high shoe tendon (i.e., shoe thorn) will squeeze the soil (or ground) between the shoe tendon, thus affecting the mobility of the excavator.
Most excavators use three – bar crawler plate, a few use flat – bottom crawler plate. In the design of three-rib track plate, the ground contact pressure and the meshing capacity between the track and the ground are firstly calculated to ensure the necessary adhesion.Secondly, the track plate should have higher bending strength and wear resistance.Three – rib crawler plate generally has two mud cleaning holes. When the crawler plate rotates around the drive wheel, the silt on the chain rail segment can be automatically removed by means of the tooth, so the mud cleaning hole should be located between the two screw holes that fix the crawler plate on the chain rail segment.
